Roly in taipei101
Taipei 101 is a landmark skyscraper in Taipei, Taiwan. The building was officially classified as the world’s tallest building until losing its title to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010. Over thousands of visitors eager to visit the No. 1 tourist site in Taipei every year. Like all skyscraper, Taipei 101 has a mechanism inside to help stabilize itself in high winds from typhoons and earthquakes. Unlike other dampers in other skyscrapers, Taipei 101 has very unique damper called “tuned mass damper”, also known as a harmonic absorber. It's basically an enormous weighted ball at the tower's top that sits on hydraulic cylinders and counteracts the building's movement.
Not only the damper stabilizes the building, Roly fully-enclosed laser projector also helping Taipei 101 stabilize the curiosity of all the visitors about the building. Roly projector is installed next to the damper at the observatory to demonstrate the damper and the building. The observatory is unlike a normal meeting room with a simple closed environment. The movement of the damper is causing strong circulation at the observatory. And also, thousands of people visit the observatory over 12 hours every day will also result in strong dust movement in the area. In the past, lamp projectors were very hard to survive this extreme environment.
Taipei 101 had to replace the filter every three months and replace projectors every six months. Luckily, Fully-enclosed Roly projector with 100% dust-proof is able to stand the extreme environment. Currently, Roly laser projector has successfully beat the intense usages of over 100 hours every week for several months, which is approved by Taipei 101 management and their engineers. According to their feedback, this is the first time they don’t have to worry about the maintenance of a projector for so long. The last but not least, the strong and powerful Roly projector proves its stabilization and shows it can be a part of greatness in Taipei 101.
